They state on numerous occasions that their will be no tricks or gimmicks, they are allowing players for play with minimal lock out. This will also include the expansion content though it appears you will be locked out of the Storm Legions classes unless the game is purchased. Of course subscriptions will still be offered for several minor bonuses, mostly boost to experience and currency drop rates. There will also be a dreaded in-game store though they were very clear that the best gear in the game can only be earned within the game, and not purchased.

This is certainly great news and hopefully it does not blow up in the consumers face like Star Wars Old Republic. I will be giving it a try so feel free to email or drop me a comment, perhaps we'll organize a guild.
