Finally A 3D Pokemon!!!

While it is not the console or PC MMORPG that everyone still wants it is still certainly a step in the right direction.
Gamefreak must have finally realized how dated their sprites were and decided to venture forward after making us wait for 15 years. Also it will be a worldwide release which is another first for the Pokemon series. The game will see release in October of this year, and will be on the Nintendo 3DS. I personally found it funny they decided to title it Pokemon X and Y, considering anyone that ever slams the game simply says that. To some extent I agree every Pokemon title is rinse and repeat, but at least now it will look pretty.

Pokemon CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara had this to say "The worldwide launch of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y this October allows players to begin their adventures at the same time. Now, Pokémon fans across the globe can discover the secrets of Pokémon games and can collect, battle, and trade with each other immediately."

Another statement was made by the series director Junichi Masuda "We brought Pokémon into an entirely new dimension and we’re incredibly excited to bring Pokémon X and Pokémon Y  to fans. The stunning visuals, a completely redesigned environment, game scenario, music, and communication features will bring smiles to the faces of video game players around the world."

While much else is known you can assume that all of your Pokemon from previous adventures will be carried over through seemingly some in-game system. I would also expect the combat to be relatively the same since it hardly ever changes. Forward Unto New Horizons We Go!!! Yes...I still enjoy Pokemon...don't judge me.
