Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3?

After browsing the interweb today I realized that nobody is really hyping this game for its upcoming release date. Now I know what you’re saying "Well that's because the last 2 sucked majorly" and yes they were awful. However in Japan people loved those games and this one is even more highly anticipated. The art style has changed to cell-shading, something I strongly support for any anime/manga adaptation game. While I am upset that I can't play as Sandrock from Gundam Wing, the cast of characters is very good and it will be fun to slash through my enemies.

So About The News...

There is not really much going on in any spectrum of the universe today, or at least not enough that warrants more than a sentence. That being the case I will slam a bunch of little things into a nice little bullet-point display.

Mass Effect 3: Same Sex

Though it has been a rumor for the longest time probably since Mass Effect 2 came out, it was finally confirmed today. There will definitely be same sex relationships, so the game now includes lesbians and aliens. While it is unconfirmed what the impact on the game will be especially since you have not been able to form relationships with any of the same sex characters in either Mass Effect games. Keep you eyes and ears open for more information because you never know what Bioware will do next.

Diablo III Beta Coming This Fall

This was announced late yesterday and has been confirmed to be 100% true. Blizzard will begin external beta testing in the fall, which means we are finally getting closer to a release date. While it has been confirmed whether the testing will be open or closed, my assumption is they will bundle it with something. So just be prepared to have to buy something from Blizzard to get a beta invite... possibly Blizzcon '11.

Persona 4 The Animation Annouced

On April 9th a persona 4 anime was announced. Nothing else at the moment has not been detailed about the anime though but previews so keep a lookout for any more news about it in the upcoming months. When I saw this news I couldn't help but get excited about what they could do with persona 4 in an anime perspective so here is to high hopes it will be pretty good. On related personal thoughts about why this anime was announced was that there's a possibility that they are doing this as a move to announce persona 5 in the future possibly via e3 or Tokyo game show so they could possibly get more fans to buy the games or get more widespread appeal to everybody who doesn't know about the persona series. If you have played any of the persona games and loved them like I did then you can only hope the anime will live up to how good the game was.

Mythos Europe MMO!

The Mythos Europe version launched today, but that does not mean we can't play it here in the USA. I played this in beta when it was released through its original studio Flagship, but they then sold the rights to go work on some game called Diablo 3 or something...Regardless Hanbitsoft, the company that is also responsible for restarting the Hellgate series has taken over and the MMO is still free to play. LucasArts Acquires Unreal Engine 3

In case you have been living under a rock or a country that hates video game..."Yes I am looking at you China!", let me tell you about a little thing called Unreal Engine 3. This thing is going to revolutionize the way we enjoy games and overall 3D animation, with some of the greatest lighting textures I have ever seen. Since it is tough to put into words let this tech demo show you what my words cannot portray.

Red Faction Armageddon Demo Incoming

Red Faction: Armageddon, is the latest game to be released in the series and continues the story of the Mason family. The demo will be available on May 3rd through PSN and Xbox LIVE and the full game will be released at the end of May. It definitely looks the be the most expansive Red Faction and I hope they continue their physics engine because in my opinion as far as structures and destruction, it is one of the best.

Arcane Hearts 3 Hits PSN

While this may be the third installment of Arcane Hearts, it is only the first released on American soil. It is very sad considering how amazing this fighting game truly is, everyone should be allowed to play it. There is a cast of 23 very vibrant characters each with their own unique skill sets centered around Defensive, Balanced, and Offensive. You then combine your fighter with an Arcana, all of which also have their own stats. This can make for plenty of fighters all with unique strengths and weaknesses. I have spent several hours just combining the two elements to get the most out of the fighter I chose.

Battlefield 3 Just a Few Screens

With the announcement of Battlefield 3 still fresh in everyones mind, the studio decided they would release a bundle of new screenshots. I have managed to get my hands on the screens through legal channels rather than just stealing them from somebody. They don't really showcase much other than the amazing graphics and lighting mechanics to be used on the new Frostbite 2 Engine. E3 is coming up really fast and you can guarantee that Battlefield 3 will be making an appearance to tease us more. I took it upon myself to resize the images because a 4000x4000 resolution is completely unnecessary.

My fellow gamers it is in these dark times of mediocrity that we must speak out and bring quality games to the people! I have been a long standing supporter of smaller companies, and at times individuals taking their talents and creating new ideas. Modern society has a way of beating those without money or connections, which at times can smother creativity. While I was browsing the web I heard plenty of fuss about this game called "Depth", so after scanning through their overall idea, I decided to start supporting them. So take a look at what they plan to do with what can only be described as a stealth cat and mouse game.
