I Set My Friends On Fire has once again released another track off of their upcoming album "Astral Rejection". While the direction of the band is uncertain due to Nabil leaving the band, Matt promises to keep everything going. Chris Lent will be filling in as a permanent member now, but will the sound change too much for them to ever be the same? New Of Mice and Men Track

Yet another track was released from the upcoming album "The Flood". This song is called "Purified" and is coming just off the heels of the recent release of "Still YDG'N". Of Mice and Men really knows how to build anticipation for an album release, and this release along with their Warped Tour schedule will be keeping them busy for quite some time.

Minus The Bear Being Positively Generous

The band decided today would be a great day to show their fans some love. Minus The Bear is giving away their latest EP "Hold Me Down" to anyone by simply giving them an email address to send it to. That means you should do it, download it, and love it, because everyone loves great free music.

The Summer Set Hits In July

The Summer Set will be dropping a full length album on July 19th titled "Everything's Fine". The 11 track album is said to be one of the most dynamic things the band has done since they began. It will deal with everything that has been going on in their lives as a band, both the good and the bad. Their first single off the album is " Someone Like You" and is available now.

Mass Effect 3: Same Sex

Though it has been a rumor for the longest time probably since Mass Effect 2 came out, it was finally confirmed today. There will definitely be same sex relationships, so the game now includes lesbians and aliens. While it is unconfirmed what the impact on the game will be especially since you have not been able to form relationships with any of the same sex characters in either Mass Effect games. Keep you eyes and ears open for more information because you never know what Bioware will do next.

Fate/Zero Anime Preview

Fate/Zero will be a prequel to the 2005 series and will air some time in October this year. It will also be handled by different studio which is noticeable to anyone that has seen the original series or the movie. Studio DEEN will be handing over the title to a studio known as "ufotable". Their most prestigious contribution would be to the Gundam Seed series back in 2002. Now without further ado, I ask you to bask in the glory of Fate/Zero...

The Word Alive Mixes Things Up

The Word Alive heads to the club for their upcoming Deceiver Deluxe Edition album. This album will have 3 remixes and 2 brand new songs, all of which will be available on June 7th. I personally did not think much because usually remix songs are garbage in comparison to the original, but The Word Alive truly did their homework on how a remix should sound.

City And Colour "Northern Wind"

This is the newest song from City And Colour, which is a solo act for Dallas Green. His new folk music is a long way from his Alexisonfire Post-Hardcore roots, but his voice carries in almost any genre. This song will be on his upcoming album "Little Hell" which is due out June 7th.

Diablo III Beta Coming This Fall

This was announced late yesterday and has been confirmed to be 100% true. Blizzard will begin external beta testing in the fall, which means we are finally getting closer to a release date. While it has been confirmed whether the testing will be open or closed, my assumption is they will bundle it with something. So just be prepared to have to buy something from Blizzard to get a beta invite... possibly Blizzcon '11.

Alkaline Trio New Acoustic Album

It has been a relatively slow news day with very little happening in any spectrum of society, but Alkaline Trio is here to save the day. "Damnesia" will be released July 12th and will be a collection of older tracks with 2 new tracks added to the list as well. It will feature such hits as "Radio" all of which are remastered and acoustic. The band also announced that they will begin touring after the album release, some of the shows will also be unplugged giving an acoustic feel just like the their upcoming album. Motionless In White Drops Their Guitarist

This news broke yesterday, but I had prior obligations that kept me from originally completing this article...so here it is today.TJ Bell will no longer be a part of Motionless In White, after an ordeal leaves the band unwilling to continue with him. I am not a huge fan of drama, but in order to understand the situation properly I will do my best to simply state the basics. TJ told Escape the Fate he would fill in for them and that the guys from MIW already knew about it. When in actuality they had no freaking clue, and go figure were not happy after finding out on such short notice. He also told the band he did not like any of them and simply toured with them so he didn’t have to go work a "real job", because that’s the classy thing to do.

Deftones New Album In 2012?

The band recently stated that they are aiming to release a follow up album to Diamond Eyes some time in 2012. They said even with their busy touring schedule they will take their off time to focus on writing new material. Sergio Vega will once again be filling in for Chi Cheng ever since his car accident in 2008 that left him in a relatively vegetative state. Chino Moreno is fairly confident however that Deftones will have something before summer of next year, so all of the Deftones fans have something to look towards the future for.

Norma Jean's New Music Video "Bastardizer"

While Norma Jean's sound at times can be a bit intense for my own personal taste there is no denying the greatness this band possesses. Their newest video "Bastardizer" was released exclusively to AltPress, but fortunately enough for me, I can post it as well. "Bastardizer" is one of the tracks off the bands latest album "Meridional" which was released almost a year ago. Norma Jean will be continuing to tour for "Explosions II Tour" which was set to end in March. A new stretch of shows has been added so if this video "tickles your fancy" or any other part of your anatomy then head out to their performances.

Persona 4 The Animation Annouced

On April 9th a persona 4 anime was announced. Nothing else at the moment has not been detailed about the anime though but previews so keep a lookout for any more news about it in the upcoming months. When I saw this news I couldn't help but get excited about what they could do with persona 4 in an anime perspective so here is to high hopes it will be pretty good. On related personal thoughts about why this anime was announced was that there's a possibility that they are doing this as a move to announce persona 5 in the future possibly via e3 or Tokyo game show so they could possibly get more fans to buy the games or get more widespread appeal to everybody who doesn't know about the persona series. If you have played any of the persona games and loved them like I did then you can only hope the anime will live up to how good the game was.

Mythos Europe MMO!

The Mythos Europe version launched today, but that does not mean we can't play it here in the USA. I played this in beta when it was released through its original studio Flagship, but they then sold the rights to go work on some game called Diablo 3 or something...Regardless Hanbitsoft, the company that is also responsible for restarting the Hellgate series has taken over and the MMO is still free to play.
